SILON supports the development of technical education

Oct 23, 2015

SILON supports the development of technical education SILON is launching a partnership with the “Vocational Training Centre” secondary school and higher vocational school in Sezimovo Ústí.

A new course with school-leaving examination will be opened at this school from the school year of 2016/2017 in cooperation with experts from the SILON Company. This will be a Machine and Equipment Mechanic – Plastics Processing Technologies course. SILON will consequently continue the tradition during which a vocational school, training new qualified workers, was established under its patronage in the nineteen fifties.

The SILON s.r.o Company’s continued successful and permanent development is chiefly based on people with knowledge, experience, skills and abilities. This is why we continue to endeavour to create conditions for their self-fulfilment, for improvement of their work and development in order to enable us to succeed in the difficult competitive environment of industrial production.

There is a broad range of opportunities for employment in this field and it meets the requirements of today’s employment market perfectly. Our students have the opportunity to obtain a vocational certificate in the vocation of Machine Mechanic in their 3rd year and subsequently take the school leaving examination in their 4th year. The best students can continue their studies at university. It is the company’s intention to provide students of this field with experience in the company and to support them financially. The company will consequently acquire educated and trained employees after they complete their studies. After completing their studies (secondary or university) our students will find employment in professions such as operator and qualified operator of manufacturing lines for plastics processing, operation preparation engineer, maintenance man and machine programmer for PES filament and plastics manufacture, or laboratory worker or inspector.
