The Kiwanis doll is celebrating an anniversary

Feb 1, 2016

The Kiwanis doll is celebrating an anniversary The SILON Company has been involved in the Kiwanis Doll project for twelve years this year.

Every year the company donates 1,000 Kg of polyester staple to the Kiwanis organisation for this project. This polyester staple is used as stuffing for the fabric dolls, which are then distributed to hospitals throughout the Czech Republic (Prague, Kladno, Roundice nad Labem, Ústí nad Labem, Příbram, Most, Ostrava). This staple is used to make 5.5 – 6 thousand dolls every year.

The “Kiwanis Doll” project celebrated 15 years of its existence in the Czech Republic at the end of 2015. During the anniversary celebrations the Kiwanis Club organised a mass delivery of the dolls in hospitals in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia. The project was also presented during a live report on Czech Television and in Czech Radio in Ostrava.  http://www.ceskatelevize.cz/porady/10435049455-dobre-rano/415236100071111/video/

SILON is proud that it has been involved in such a meaningful project for so many years and that it can help children overcome a difficult time during their hospital stay in this manner. You can find out more on http://www.kiwanis.cz or http://www.silon.eu/cz/silon/spolecenska-odpovednost/.
